Imperial and Metric Guide



Switching recipes between metric and imperial measurements


Users with permissions to create/ amend recipes are able to easily convert recipes from Metric to Imperial and vica versa. Please note that imperial conversions are set to match the country, your business has been set to.

No conversion – this should be used when creating a recipe for the first time in metric or if a recipe contains both imperial and metric units.


Convert to imperial units – this should be used when changing a recipe from metric to imperial. Please refer to table below for the current logic that applies.


Convert to metric units – this should be used when changing a recipe back to metric units.


Currently only the below weight/mass fields will be changed;

g > oz 

kg > lb 

ml > fl oz 

l > gallon


All other units of measure (UoM) such as each will remain the same

Please note that nutrition remains in g for both per 100g and per serving
